He is a founder & Managing Partner, an advocate of the high court in Rwanda and a member of the Rwanda Bar Association with a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU). He holds a Post graduate diploma in legal practice (DIP) from Institute of Legal Practice and Development in Rwanda (ILPD). He also holds Certificate in Human Rights which he attained from Red Cross in leadership Training & Research and certificates in different relevant short courses from YALI Network including: Certificate in Public- Private Partnerships, certificate in Understanding the Rights of women and girls, Certificate in Management strategies for people and resources and Certificate in Understanding Elections and Civic Responsibility.
Before starting a law firm he had worked with RR Associates in Rwanda and he specialized in corporate transaction, customs transaction and commercial transaction. Kitoosi Bashir offers litigation, arbitration, mediation and transactional advisory services to medium and multinational corporations. Mr Kitoosi Bashir is a legal Advisor and Corporate Secretary at Ryan Mining and Construction Company (U) Limited and is currently hired by century vigilantes to conduct extensive research on ADR- Alternative Dispute Resolution in Rwanda in relation to other jurisdictions.
He has worked with some international organisations in Rwanda on which he was awarded certificates through trainings and these include Certificate in criminal practice, criminal rights and justice Training from Rwanda Bridges to Justice – RBJ & International bridges to justice – IBJ (January 2017) and Certificate in International Intellectual Property: copy rights and neighbouring rights from American intellectual property and copy rights Institute (2018)
